This alcohol brand is very close to my heart, my family have been harvesting native ingredients all our lives and now to make another commercial product out of it has a flow on affect with funds flowing back to people in communities to help with employment but also allows consistent supply from Aboriginal harvesters. We are showcasing “The worlds oldest, new flavours”
Our next two lines of alcohol relate to the seasons of Larrakia country. Green Ant Gin being The big wind time, Bush Apple relates to the monsoon because that’s when they are harvested & Native yam vodka relates to the rainy season because the sand and dirt softens up to make collecting easier.
I want to hero ingredients from my area that are all wild harvested, Our company use a significant amount of Native ingredients per batch of alcohol to create not only great flavours but create long term jobs moving forward.
We should be proud of the produce Australia has to offer, especially the Native produce that is so abundant in the Northern Parts of Australia. We use it in everyday life in the top end and have I have grown up eating it since I was young and taught by my fathers how to hunt & gather from the land.
I want to try to give people an experience of my culture through the Seven Seasons where I am from. All my alcohols I make tell a story of the land and where I am from and what season they come from.
Hahahaha.... we are lucky enough to have been brought up well around good leaders in our family starting from our grandfather Chico & Grand mother Lorna. Our fathers & mothers have always demanded us kids to want to be the best at whatever & most the time that comes out when we are together and everything is a competition.
